Pilot your spaceship through a maze of caves on an alien planet. Try to reach the surface, while collecting luminum crystals which you can trade for upgrades. Watch out for hazards like mines or laser batteries, and keep an eye on your limited fuel supply.

Cavernaut is a cave flyer with its roots in classic arcade titles like Lunar Lander, reinvented for the iPhone and iPad: You steer your ship with simple touch and tilt controls through a cave that is randomly generated for every game. Each time you play, theres a new path through the caves, and all the items and landing pads are in different places.

"... it all comes together into a tense, surprisingly strategic experience"
(Nathan Reinauer, TouchArcade)

"Cavernaut proves to be quite challenging yet satisfying."
(Jennifer Allen, 148Apps)

"A perfect coffee break title that has the addictive components of games from the old days."
(Andre Eriksson, Cubed3)

"With simple but addictive mechanics and a very efficient control system, Cavernaut is a small but truly enjoyable mobile game."
(Fabio Palmisano, Multiplayer.it)

Pros and cons of Cavernaut app for iPhone and iPad

Cavernaut app good for

Fantastic fun! The controls are perfect; sublime. A great cave flyer and highly recommended.
This game reminds me of "Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship" a game for NES, I could see where the developer got his inspiration. Great game!
The procedurally generated caverns and ambient music, mixed with simple but challenging gameplay make it impossible to put down
What Crossy Road did for Frogger, Cavernaut does for Lunar Lander. Not slapped together like some games, the attention to detail on this one makes it enjoyable to play. For example, you can brush up against cavern walls without taking damage, but a harder hit will. Also, the screen dims when you are about to enter a new zone. Feels really solid to play, and the lander is fun to fly. Good power-up selection, upgrades, and flight mechanics. The music and sound effects do a really good job to set the tone of the game. My current favourite. ONE big frustration, though: Occasionally gets stuck on the loading screen. The ONLY way Ive found to fix this is to delete and download again, wiping out hard-earned upgrades! Please fix this bug!
Wow, what a game! The ambiance is so completely engrossing that once you start playing, youll have a hard time stopping.
It is a good arcade style game. Simple controls, but challenging.

Some bad moments

This is a really poor example of the lunar lander genre. For a really incredible experience try Lunar Mission on the App Store. Fantastic controls and deep intense gameplay.
Really easy to learn and fun to play. Calm game play. Nothing frantic.
Challenging and fun, with great music. Very well done. And no IAP!
Love this game! Everything from the soundtrack, to the gameplay, to the achievements. Well worth its cost.
This game was great until last update.now its Locked up cant load, tried to get rid of it unable.was fun at first...to bad.
The main fault with this game is that when you die you have to start all over again from the beginning. Its like Flappy Bird or an endless runner and kind of frustrating when you feel like you made a lot of progress but then lose it all because of a single bad move. Your goal is basically try to beat your last score by getting farther than your longest run. It would be nice if you could save your progress or continue from a check point. Even with that fault this game is my new favorite but I feel it will not retain my interest for long as these kind of games get old fast.
